The Ridge View softball team fell behind 9-0 after one inning against Newell-Fonda on Tuesday at Galva. The Raptors scored two runs of their own in the second inning, but were unable to close the gap any further in a 12-2 loss to a talented Mustang team. Ridge View was led at the plate by Tatum Shepherd, who belted two hits including a double, and drove in a run. Beth Mentzer also smacked a double and batted in a run. Abby Wandrey also contributed a hit for the Raptors. Shepherd and Faith Freese both crossed home plate to score runs in the contest.
