DANBURY - Elfriede P. Paulsrud, age 95, of Danbury, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at her residence of Danbury, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior from 1-2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at the Arthur Evangelical Free Church, of Arthur Iowa. Pastor Dave Schultz and Pastor Jim Thomas will officiate.
IDA GROVE - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Rev. Richard A. Salcido and Rev. Neil Wehmas will officiate. Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, September 27, 2021, in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery of Lyons, Nebraska. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa.
ODEBOLT - It is with great sadness that we say goodbye, for now, to our father, grandfather and great grandfather, Douglas Stenoien. He was the fourth child born to Ole and Bura Stenoien in Hanks, North Dakota. Although Doug was born into poverty, he chose not to allow this to be his destiny. By the grace of God and through a work ethic like no other, he built a life that far exceeded the economic destitution of his childhood.
