Trial date set for accused murderer

A Galva man accused of murder will head to trial Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. Jesus Isai Diaz, 25, is accused int the Nov. 13 murder of Eduardo Diaz after an altercation at the accused’s residence in the 200 block of South Main Street with the accused allegedly stabbing the victim multiple times in the chest and abdomen before Eduardo collapsed and died on the sidewalk. Witnesses reportedly saw the accused then kicking the lifeless body of the victim before crossing the street, coming back and then beating the body more.
