Supervisors endorse air quality survey for portions of courthouse

Third Judicial District Chief Judge Duwayne Hoffmeyer, Clerk of Court Lisa Grashoff, Peggy Freriks, Ida County Safety Director Ed Sohm, Sheriff Wade Harriman and custodian Dan Conover met with the Ida County Board of Supervisors July 28 to discuss the courtroom issues.
The supervisors reported they are waiting for an estimate on the bat removal and clean up in the attic. The air conditioning has been repaired.
Judge Hoffmeyer reported the former Invenergy building would not be adequate for relocation due to Iowa court regulations. The supervisors, Ida County Attorney Meghan Whitmer, Mare Steil, Noah Deters and Judge Hoffmeyer toured the Invenergy building July 21.
